Kathmandu / Bindu Kunwar, a long-serving civil servant, has passed away. Kunwar’s colleague Ghatana Shah, has posted sympathy upon her in facebook. She passed away in Kathmandu at 1:30 pm on Sunday, Ghatana has expressed condolences through his Facebook page. Bindu had struggled for the right of women and children for long time.
Kunwar, who was working in the Women and Children’s Office in Banke, was working in the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens. A committee was formed in Banke to collect money for her treatment. Child rights activists Anjana Chaturvedi, Sahil Ansari, Shweta Gurung and Puja Barma of Nepalganj have said that they are saddened by the demise of Bindu Kunwar.
