2020 women’s Olympic volleyball scheduled to start from July 26

The women’s tournament in volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics will be the 15th edition of the event at an Olympic Games, organised by the world’s governing body, the FIVB, in conjunction with the IOC. It was scheduled to be held in Tokyo, Japan from 26 July to 9 August 2020.

On 24 March 2020, the Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The qualification for the 2020 women’s Olympic volleyball tournament allocated twelve teams quota spots: the host, the winners of each of six Intercontinental Qualifying Tournaments, and five continental Olympic qualification tournament champions. Teams already qualified for the event were not eligible to play in the following qualification tournaments.  Below you can see qualified 12 countries and their pool-wise setting.
